Working out feasability of a stage set
I was contacted by Neil Irish, a designer based in London, to construct a large sage set for Jekyll and Hyde.
I liaised closely with the production manager and the scenic designer to assess the project feasibility and budget.
Working out components
The core elements to be included were a raked stage, decking with trap doors and meshed sections, modular scenic flats, rotating sections of scenery and supporting structure.
The design was quite ambitious, so I brought in my knowledge of materials and construction techniques to fit it within our budget constraints.
I produced detailed construction drawings for each set component and to specify the assembly process.
